Dear Families!
This is the image for the news article titled Dear Families!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  December brings lots of activities to Mansion Avenue School.  We are excited about these upcoming opportunities.

We will be celebrating the Hour of Code initiative during the week of December 4th.  Computer science and use of technology is a foundation for our children in today’s world.  This event, celebrated world-wide, provides an introduction to the logic in basic computer programming in a way that ALL students are able to participate.  We are excited to bring this initiative to Mansion Avenue School!  Please look for information and permission forms to come home with your child to sign up for a one hour time block after school on either December 4th, 5th, or 7th.

Mark your calendar for the PTA’s Holiday Shop to be held December 4th – December 6th!  Students will be able to buy during the day and you may visit during the evening hours from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday.

December 6th is a half day dismissal at 12:45 pm for teacher in-service.

Our band and choir students have been working hard all of the fall in preparation for their holiday concert on Wednesday, December 13th.  Please join us in the Audubon High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th to celebrate the musical accomplishments of our students and to get in the spirit of the upcoming holiday season.

Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, December 14th andFriday, December 15th.  Please note that there is no school for students on December 14th and a half day dismissal at 12:45 pm on December 15th so we may hold the conferences.  Your child’s teacher has already been in contact with you regarding conference times.  If you have any questions, please talk with your child’s teacher directly.

Please note that Friday, December 22nd is a 12:45 p.m. dismissal for the winter break.

I wish you peace during this hectic holiday season.  See you in the New Year!
